The terms governing your use of Matched by Stars.
By registering for or using Matched by Stars ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not register or use the Service. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Matched by Stars, operated as a sole trader business registered in Australia.
You must be at least 18 years of age to use this Service. By registering, you confirm that you are 18 or older, that all information you provide is accurate, truthful, and current, and that you have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement.
The Service is intended for individuals who are seriously seeking a committed romantic relationship. Use of the Service for any other purpose — including casual connection, entertainment, or commercial activity — is not permitted and may result in immediate account termination.

Matched by Stars takes your safety seriously. We are committed to supporting you throughout the matching process and will cooperate fully with law enforcement authorities if any matter of safety or harm arises in connection with use of our service.

If you experience any behaviour from another member that makes you feel unsafe, uncomfortable, or at risk, please contact us immediately at hello@matchedbystars.com. We will take all reasonable steps to address the matter, including cooperation with law enforcement. We also encourage you to contact police or emergency services directly if you are in immediate danger.
Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you may have under Australian consumer protection law.
Matched by Stars provides a compatibility-based matchmaking service. We apply a multi-dimensional compatibility framework to identify potential matches who meet a meaningful compatibility threshold across key dimensions of values, lifestyle, and relationship goals.

We do not guarantee that a match will be found within any particular timeframe, or that any specific number of matches will be identified. Love cannot be rushed, and we will not compromise our standard to provide speed.
Registration and entry into the matching system is free. A service fee is charged only when we have identified a match and you choose to proceed with the introduction. The applicable fee will be clearly communicated to you before any payment is requested. No payment will be taken without your explicit, informed consent.
All prices are in Australian Dollars (AUD) and include GST where applicable.
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Please read it carefully.
All content, branding, design, technology, and materials associated with the Service are the property of Matched by Stars. You may not reproduce, distribute, publish, or create derivative works from any part of the Service without our express written permission.
To the fullest extent permitted by Australian law, Matched by Stars — including its operators, staff, and agents — is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service. This includes, without limitation, any outcomes arising from a match introduction, any relationship (or its breakdown) that follows from use of the Service, or the conduct of any person you meet through the Service.
Where liability cannot be excluded under applicable law (including the Australian Consumer Law), our liability is limited to the resupply of the relevant service or the cost of that resupply, at our election.
You may submit a request to delete your account at any time from your dashboard. Following your request, your profile will be removed from the active matching system and your personal data will be deleted within 30 days, in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
We reserve the right to suspend or permanently terminate your account — with or without notice — if you breach these Terms, engage in conduct harmful to other users or to the Service, or for any other reason we reasonably consider necessary to protect the integrity of the Service and its members.
These Terms are governed by the laws of South Australia, Australia. Any dispute arising under or in connection with these Terms will be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of South Australia. Nothing in this clause limits your rights under applicable Australian consumer protection legislation.
We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in the Service, our practices, or applicable law. We will notify registered users of material changes by email and update the date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Service following notification constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
